Peacemakers is an all-volunteer organization that teaches children peaceful ways of being with themselves and with the world. It includes children ages 8 to 13 at no charge regardless of race, economic or social status.
It includes a five-night, six-day, away-from-home camp in the summer, as well as quarterly events in Macon, GA or at nearby campsites. The curriculum promotes ethical values common to all religions and denominations.
How we do this includes:
- Bringing children of unlike backgrounds together in a nurturing environment
- Celebrating cultural diversity
- Practicing conflict resolution
